In
1826, the habitants of Bercy claim a bridge which instigates the exchanges
between two banks. In July 1831, Louis-Philippe declares the beginning
of work, and six months later, the Pont de Bercy is inaugurated. Alas,
the work very quickly reveals structural anomalies which conduisents with
the rebuilding of the bridge. Between 1861 and 1864, the new bridge is
built and work is directed by Feline-Romany. In 1904, a viaduct of forty
and one arcades is partly built upstream for the passage of the subway
line. |
