In 1887, the Pont Marie is classified Historic building.
Existense
of the Pont Marie is closely related to that of the Saint-Louis island.
Built under the influence of the Marie contractor, the 1st stone is posed
on October 11, 1614 by the young person Louis XIII. Work ends in 1630.
The Pont Marie counts five arches in semicircular arch, carried by four
lines of dwelling houses, which disappear for the majority at the time
of the risings. Their insecurity is proposed and these houses are destroyed
in 1788.
